Q How can I make a donation?

A Making to donation is very easy. Please see our Donations page for details of donating via debit card. credit card, bank transfer or personal cheque.

Q Do all our donations go directly to making the boxes

A All donations collected by Samuel’s Boxes are used to purchase the items found in the boxes. No money is taking for administration, wages or website hosting charges. Nochex and Paypal do take a small fee from your donation if you use a credit or debit card online, but we are working hard to keep these charges to a minimum.

Q Who runs Samuel’s Boxes

A Samuel’s Boxes is run by Helen and Ian Cuthbertson. If you want to get in touch please use the Contact Us page.

Q How much does each box costs to make?

A This depends on the items included in the box which varies between hospitals, but on average each box costs £15 to £25..

Q Which hospitals does the scheme currently operate with?

A Currently we are working with Coventry Walsgrave, Birmingham Women’s, Nottingham City and Birmingham Heartlands Hospitals. As the scheme gains momentum we would like to expand this to other hospitals in the Midlands region. If you know of a hospital that would like to be involved please Contact Us.

Q Are you looking for donated items to fill the boxes?

A Currently we are sourcing all of the box contents from commercial suppliers and are not accepting donations. This is mainly to ensure that the boxes are available as necessary and are of a high standard. If you are aware of an item you think should be in the box or are a distributor or manufacturer who would like to supply to us please Contact Us.

Q Is Samuel’s Boxes a registered charity

A Samuel’s boxes is partnered with Joshuas’ Boxes and forms part of this registered charity. The registered charity number is 1106030.

Q Can I give more with Gift Aid?

A We can’t currently claim gift aid, but we are working on fixing this now.

Q Can I run an event to raise money for Samuel’s Boxes?
